Majo Country Obligations

To provide the following services-

Client Obligations

Provide the following (NO EXCEPTIONS )
Important Understandings - Please Read and Initial
DATES ARE ESTIMATES
Do not make firm plans the days surrounding the estimated pickup or delivery.
Until the trip is well under way the dates are estimates. Horses are added to schedule after yours is booked. This helps keep costs down but impacts the schedule. Of course there are blizzards, floods, and other weather and road conditions. There are horses that take an hour to load. Then there is extra delay to stop at a nice horse hotel in the middle of the day. So many things impact the schedule that are unpredicable that I guarantee that the schedule will change. The health, comfort, and safety of the horses far outweighs the schedule.
Inital__________

TACK
I do not deliver tack. All the space is for the horses, hay, extra water, and my supplies for 3 weeks. If you have a shoebox properly labeled with extra items I can take that (but not across USA border).
Inital__________

Health Papers
Please make sure all papers are in place ONE WEEK BEFORE expected pick up. It is not unusual for me to be a few days early and there is no refund if I arrive and your horse is not ready for travel.
Inital__________

No Shoes
Horses must be barefoot for travel unless special permission is noted. If this is waived you are responsible for damage caused by kicking.
Inital__________

Weanlings
Weanlings are expected to be halter broke and socialized. Sickness from transport can be caused by stress and not drinking and eating. It is my experience that foals should go through the trama of weaning before boarding the trailer. Then when they travel they adapt quickly. Babies that are not weaned are under a double stress. I sleep in the trailer so I know how they act.
Inital__________

Emergency Care
Horses can hurt themselves in the best of circumstances. In the unlikely event of an Emergency requiring veterinary care , Majo Country is authorized to contact any available Veterinarian and the client agrees to be responsible for all costs and pay such costs at time service is rendered directly to Veterinarian. Majo Country is not liable for such costs and shall be entitled to a lien against the transported horse(s) for the value of services rendered and $50/day surcharge until such fees are paid.
Inital__________

Hold Harmless Release - Death or Injury
The Client understands that Insurance on the horses is not provided by Majo Country. To obtain Mortality or Loss of Use Insurance on a horse, the value of that horse must be proven to the Insurance Company. You cannot simply insure a horse for a value you deem correct or would like in the event of loss. The value of the horse must be proven via purchase price, breeding records, etc. Establishing value is not possible or practical for the transporter. Hence, it is the responsibility of the client to obtain mortality and loss of use insurance. The client understands and acknowledges this, and if he/she elects not to secure such insurance, then he/she agrees to assume all expenses and/or losses. Regardless of insurance, the client agrees to hold Majo Country harmless in the event of death or injury and to voluntarily release and forever discharge Majo Country from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions or rights of actions, which are in any way connected with the transport of the aforementioned horse(s), including, but not limited to the negligent acts or omissions of the Transporter.
